Jesus is More than redemption

John 1:1-18 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us Birth, Life, Death, Resurrection, and Purpose of God is the most important point of history.
We Learn from Gods word some wonderful trues
#1 God made and keeps his promises Gen 3:15, 2nd sam 7:13, Micah 5:2
#2 Christ obedience brings salvation
#3 Jesus is truly Savior & Lord
#4 The Church bride spotless & sin free

This is the true meaning of Christmas

God has only one plan, (plan A) -not plan ABCD. Everything is going according to plan
That plan when finished is not just redemption only but a spotless bride for Jesus the son.
1- The plan began in the creation of Earth and all things that are in it, man being the very capstone of creation.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word was God and the Word became flesh: (If) the Word was God and the Word became flesh, then God became flesh. God became man. Jesus was a human being and Jesus was God. ( All God all Human)someone said Christ remained what he was(God), and became what he was not. (Flesh
In John 1:1 is about his
#1- His Being = Eternal (before the beginning as messiah)
#2- His Deity = Not only with God, but he was God
#3- His union = With God Father, The word was with God
2 - God Keeps promises = The Baby who appears in Bethlehem manger is God from eternity.
Micah 5:2 but thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Luke 2:11For unto you is born (this day) in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
Galatians 4:4 when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son V:5 to redeem
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. Gov. shall rest on him, name wonderful, counselor, Prince of peace, Mighty God, Everlasting Father.
3 - Christ obedience brings salvation
Phil 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Heb 5:9 And being made perfect / by obedient, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
4 - Jesus is Savior & Lord
Phi 2:9 God highly exalted Jesus, and gave him the name which is above every name;
V: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,
5 - The Church his bride spotless & sin free
Eph 5:27 We have been taught to think all of our lives as sinners needing Redemption thoughts of sin and the fall, the church as saved sinners, looking backward, thank God for beginnings but Redemption is not the end of the story. Jesus talked about a Glorious Church without Spot or wrinkle looking, forward the church is a Divine Creation in Christ Jesus our Lord. I will build my church hell can’t stop it, Church was born at Pentecost
The eternal purpose of God from eternity is that his Son has a body to express his life in. Looking at the plan from this standpoint The Church is something that is beyond Sin. A Glorious and Spotless bride. The church is a Divine Creation in Christ. A Building, a house
#1- In Romans 5:6 = we sinned, Fallen man = Christ died for sinners, the ungodly.
Rom 5:1 we are now Justified by faith = (Righteous positional), but that’s not all of it
God will have a Glorious & Spotless sinless Bride. Are we the bride? Jesus will not have a sinful, spotted, unclean bride.

Church born at Pentecost, Did Christ become one with the church as in marriage?
Eph 5:32 If so, Positional the Church is spotless and sin free or he’s not one with it.
Can there be a church and Christ not be the head and married to it?
Cleaning process a spotless bride
#3- Eph 1:4 = Choose us before the foundation of the world (plan A in action),
(Eph 5:25) husband love your wives as Christ loved the church V: 32 Marriage but Christ speaking of the church and is at the very heart of the gospel) God loved the church and gave himself for it.
Eph 5:31 / Gen 2:24 for this (cause / woman taken out of Adam) shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. , (Eph.5:32 this a great mystery but I speak of Christ & the Church, Marriage and becoming one.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
#1 - V:23 (because) the husband is the head = (as the part most readily taken hold of- sense of seizing)) of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, being himself the (savior /of the body
#2 -V: 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it or Lives his life for it.
#3 –V:26 (So) he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
#4 – V:27 (So) he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. – For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh . Jesus speaking of the Church.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son: much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. So Christ lives to save us.

Six principles or oracles of God is the word of God.

Six principles or oracles of God is the word of God. Sunday, August 06, 2006
Hebrews 6:1-2 The Six principles or oracles of God is the word of God.Jesus and all his followers taught these Oracles. (1) Repentance, (2) Faith toward God, (3) Doctrine of baptisms, (4) Laying on of hands, (5) Resurrection of the dead, (6) Eternal judgment. Read your Bible!! These are the word of God?
Number five and six are in the hands of God. Number one, two, three, and four, is given to us as his people to do the work of God.Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of (1) repentance from dead works, and of (2) faith toward God, 2 Of the (3) doctrine of baptisms, (More than one) and of (4) laying on of hands, and of (5) resurrection of the dead, and of (6) eternal judgment. The writer here was not saying to forget them but let me show you what we should be doing as childen of God, ("that is going on to perfection") (The writer in the scriptures says they should go on (past) after knowing these six teachings.) To mature us for the work of ministry. Know that Jesus has paid your account for sin. Believe that he is your High Priest.Hebrews 6:3 NIV And God permitting, we will do so. (In other words>Not having to teach you these any more.It is time to Grow up!!) Believe Jesus is the one I sent!! To the Jew first then the gentile. Go not in the way of the gentiles Jesus said to them he sent out to do his works.
Acts 3:26 Unto you (Jews) first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.(What does it mean to have tasted these things and then fall away?) Hebrews 6:4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. (You must really think on this one.(verse 4 to 6). Christians kill one another over these verses. My point is to find what the six principles of the doctrines of Christ are, not to start a debate about being saved always saved. This verse Hebrews 6:4 must be understood.Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye (Babes in Christ) ought to be teachers,(Gone past the six these principles) ye have need that one teach you again that which be the first principles of the oracles of God; (six of them) and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (This is where we should be.)Who was given these six Principles? Can us gentiles accept Romans 11:28 below, this is strong meat to some Christian folk. They are the ELECT!! We have been made fellowcitizens with then in the body of Christ. We did not replace them.Romans 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they (The Jews Israel?) are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. (election,) (The election is not us saved gentiles). (This in Romans 11:28 blows replacement theology out the window. All prophecy conserning Israel even in unbelief will be fulfilled. You will notice they have come back to their land as the prophets spoke, when they have secured the land Ezekel 36,37,38.and many more will be fulfilled.)Luke 12:42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? What is the meat of the word of God? To us Gentiles it's the next Verse in Romans. It is meat for the gentile church to wake up and see he is returning to them. Israel!!Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (this is not principle No.1) (This one only means all promises to Israel in gods word will be fulfilled concerning Israel even in unbelief. Gifts and calling.)> All the promises. "This verse does not do away with Acts 2:38" Repent, and be baptized: (#1) repentance (#3) doctrine of baptisms. More than one, Water, Spirit, Fire.Peter Acts 2:38-"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." It was no accident that he mentioned repentance first. In God's divine order, repentance must precede water baptism (No3) (doctrine of baptisms) (More than one) and receiving the Holy Ghost. I know we don't like that word Ghost, but for now be calm.Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were ( principle No.3) baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? (Another baptism?Yes) 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his (No.5) resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. ("Have (#2) faith toward God and his word that you died with him"!)Romans 3:1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? / Two questions? (Why didn't he say none here?) But look at second verse.2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them ( The Jews / Israel) were committed the oracles of God.3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? (Notice again!!)> Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. This is only his prophetic word toward them the Irsael in the land now. (No.2) faith toward God) Jesus said, heaven and earth will pass away but my word abides forever. (Now his word is to all Jews and gentiles > (1) repentance, (2) faith toward God, (3) doctrine of baptisms, (4) laying on of hands, (5) resurrection of the dead, (6) eternal judgment. For Salavation. And all the Law and Prophets.4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.Romans 3:1 What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? 2 Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God. NIV (So then the oracles is the word of god.) Six of them for the preaching of the word of God. To save us who beleive on his name...Jesus.The Laying on of Hands has great significance as a Covenant Rite in the Bible. This is the method used to bestow a special divine blessing or a special form of recognition. It can be a formal family or public announcement or blessing relating to a point of honor, or a special spiritual request. Even if there is no audience, the Angels are watching and recording. Jacob blessed his sons.
Hebrews 11:21 By (#2) faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
1 Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the (#4) laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were (#3) baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Notice now it is time to act. Peter and John two common and unlearned men.Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. KJV /NIV says Message in place of word.Acts 2:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. 18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,Mark 5:23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.Mark 16;17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." NIV.>>> KJV they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.Acts 28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him..Another way to lay hands on people.Matthew 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. Luke 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. (Early church persecution.)THE REASON FOR THESE SIX PRINCIPLES / Then we will no longer be infants.People who say they have these five Gifts of the minristy should know these six oracles. You want to be a preacher?? Read your bible.Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.Ephesians 4:11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. (Wow in the church!!! yes!) 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. NIV (Today preachers want to carry the money bag, "sorry had to write that.")Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; (Not Hebrews 61-2) for to make in himself of twain one new man, (THE BODY OF CHRIST) so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, (Gentiles) and to them that were nigh. (Jews) 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. ( That Spirit is Jesus) 19 Now therefore ye (gentiles) are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, (The Root) and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; (All Jews untill Paul and Peter had it out in Acts 15) 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: (So? Where is GOD?) 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (? Where is GOD?)> In the body of christ. Lule 21:24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.Over half of the Bible, the Old Testament, was originally written nearly all in Hebrew. The New Testament was originally written nearly all in Greek. If we carefully read what John wrote in his Gospel account, we see that the Logos was with God, and was God, but was not a God, because there is only one God:Pontius Pilate had a sign posted above Jesus Christ as He was on The Cross. It said, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." In what 3 languages was it written? John 19:20, Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. In some translations of The Bible, oracle, from the Latin word oraculum, meaning to speak (oral and orator are derived from the same word) is used to translate the original Hebrew word of the Scriptures which means speak or word. In the Old Testament, where it was used singularly, it referred either to the Most Holy Place of the Temple, or the Word of God. In the New Testament, oracle is used in a plural form to translate the original Greek word log-ee-on (to which Logos is related), which means words or utterances of God."So teach" >(1) Repentance, (2) Faith toward God, (3) Doctrine of baptisms, (4) Laying on of hands, (5) Resurrection of the dead, (6) Eternal judgment, have been on earth sence God was here. For they were God. Then they were given to the Jews. "Right." And the Jews fell away from them when they continued not in them when Christ came. The big picture is only the remnant did. Acts 7:38 "This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us, 39 whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected.Romans1:18-20 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth (Notice)> in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, (Who?) they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. If you know God and fall away there remains no more what ?(#1) Repentance) for Hebrews 6:4 It is impossible ?Luke 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the (#3) Doctrine of baptisms) baptism of (#1) repentance for the remission of sins; (1) Repentance, (2) Faith toward God, (3) Doctrine of baptisms, (4) Laying on of hands, (5) Resurrection of the dead, (6) Eternal judgment. Read your Bible!! (The word of God.)Luke 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, (John) Prepare ye the way of the Lord,(Jesus) make his paths straight. 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, (Get right with your brother first. (fruits ) Bring a little love gift with you then put it on the alter.Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: (#3) Doctrine of baptisms) 17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. Two baptisms here. "Right" Then water makes three.Luke 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. (The time had come for more power to be given to Jesus to fulfill all rightousness with John.)Acts 4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, 2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the (#5) resurrection from the dead. So teaching the resurrection is the word of god.Acts 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.Acts 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the (#5) resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. ("So",) Let us teach the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.) It is the word of God.Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. Have you been with Jesus? Of course not you will say, but now I know him after the Spirit.(#4) Laying on of hands,(#4) Laying on of hands, Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them,( #4 ) Laying on of hands,) and they received the Holy Ghost. 18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and (#4) laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the (#3) Holy Spirit."1 Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Acts 20:21-22 how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, 21 testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks,c (#1) repentance toward God and (#2) faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,1 Thessalonians 1:8 For from you the word of the Lord has "sounded forth", not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your (#2) faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. (What?) ("They understood what these Oracles meant". > (1) Repentance, (2) Faith toward God, (3) Doctrine of baptisms, (4) Laying on of hands, (5) Resurrection of the dead, (6) Eternal judgment. Read your Bible!! The oracles are the word of God. John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the (#5) resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. >To the second death.> Rev.20:14 Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. Rev. 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the (#5) first resurrection. (Just) The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.NIVRev. 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. KJV Rev. 20:12 And I saw the dead, >(Unjust)<>(Lake of fire is (what?)> This is the second death. Not life!!

Running the Race

Hebrews 12:1-4 Running the Race David Gunn 6/10/06
Life is a marathon not a 100 yd dash. (Click on David)
Bro Richard & Pam are working, preaching & witnessing, Bro Bo is watching and praying, Bro. David & Kathy are Building / sending mail and Witnessing, Bro Phelps is praying & Laboring in the harvest, Bro Jim and Vicci are doing Surgery and teaching & Praying, Bro Bob & Virginia are Mowing, cooking, cleaning, praying& witnessing. But we are all in a RACE!!! Not a sprint, but a marathon.
The Bible teaches very clearly that life is / a race / a battle / a walk / a journey / -
Some people don't even know that life is a race, so they just stroll through life aimlessly.- some people are in the race but never finish, because they get sidetracked, distracted, disqualified without ever becoming what God intended their life to be. But some are running to win, prepared for the long distance, Focused, and determined. Nevertheless; we are all in a Race for our Lives.
We all know about the Olympics, of course Paul has described our life’s journey with God as a marathon.(1968, Olympics in Mexico) man from Tanzania. Said my country did not send me 7,000 miles around the world just to start in the race, but to finish in it. (Paul said I have finished my course!!) I have kept the faith, I have a Crown.
Are you in the RACE this morning? Have you finished your RACE? If you’re not dead then you haven’t finished the RACE.
Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, ( Hero’s of Heb 11) let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, focusing on sin doesn't help me get rid of the sin, you get rid of sin by keeping your eye on Jesus and then your not distracted & overcome by it.
Rules of the race. Stay Focused on Jesus. Heb12:1-4 > says
1 - Someone has already successfully won the race, so you can too. (Cloud of whiteness) They are not just observing you; they stand as a faithful witness of God’s grace faithfulness and Sovereignty.
The stress is not on the idea that they observe us, but rather that we look to them as those who set the pace for the endurance in faith for the race. Heb 11: hero’s of faith.
2 - The race is long, lighten your burden. Lay aside weight & sin that besets us (Thwarting) sidetracking us.
Pam, Richard, Jim Vicci when bicycling wears those lightweight tight clothes what do you call them? ha!! The light weight is not for speed, but for endurance.
3 - Run with patience / that says it’s a long run - let us lay aside - let us run with endurance - looking unto Jesus.
The instructions are for a long distance race, not the sprint. In a race, the runners divest themselves of anything which would hinder them. They run to win!!
4
- God has designed the contest and the course. God has set it before us. It his idea, don’t get the idea it all up to you, he started it and he will finish it, and he will sustain you in it.
Heb 12:2 God is the author and the finisher of our faith. Ph 1:6 He that begun a good work will finish it.
1st Corinthians 9:24 says, "You also must run in such a way that you will win. 9:24 says Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, and one receives the prize. So run that you may obtain. Run to win!!! Bro. Richard tells us we are not competing against each other. We have one opponent, we are to run the race, we are to observe the rules, we are to finish, and we are to receive a crown. On the course and in the race there are obstacles.
As a Gideon speaker I’ve spoken to some congregations that was not real friendly. You're looking out there, and you have the sense that almost no one's is with you. They're thinking, "Who is this guy? What is this stuff that he's talking about?" Bo says. I look for a friendly face.
Sometimes there only one, nodding, and agreeing with me. I keep my eyes on them, if I'm going to make it through my Gideon Report. Overcome the obstacles, keep focused, and RUN!!
That's why it's important to keep your eyes on Jesus. He's with you. He's that friendly face. He won't give up on you until he completes the work that he's started in you. He loves you He endured the cross because of what it would accomplish in our lives.
Acts 20:24 Paul said Troubles do not move me because, I do not consider my life dear to myself So that I may finish my course with joy!!! Testifying of the gospel of God’s Grace.
1st Timothy 4:7-8 At the end of Paul's life he said, "The time of my death is near. I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful, and there’s a Crown. Will we be able to say this as Paul?
I don't know how you're running the race right now. But I do know it's not too late to finish well. I do know it's not too late to get rid of the distractions. Keep your eyes on Jesus the Author & Finisher of your faith. Be not weary in well doing because you will reap IF you faint not!! Amen!!

Are not we all that one bread

Do Christians know who they are? Or not we all that one body? Or not we all that one bread? The Lord's Supper Passover and breaking his bread and the one Cup blood of the new covenant.
Romans 12;4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: (Note> Or other things to say about the body of Christ. I'am the foot let me walk a while.
And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
Corinthians 10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. Note but we are no good if we are not broken and others hear what we have to say. Let your prophets speak two or three and if any thing be revealed to one that sits by let the first hold his peace, (Now days every one who wants to be a preacher wants to be the Pastor, the one who collects the money. "Yea, Lets build this church large.")
Paul> 17 In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. 18 In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, (not building) there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. 19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval. 20 When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat, 21 for as you eat, each of you goes ahead without waiting for anybody else. One remains hungry, another gets drunk. 22 Don't you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God. NIV/ (Note> " not a building") and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? Certainly not!
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." 25 In the same way, ("after supper he took the cup,") saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death ("Note and Kingdom") until he comes." Note >("Until he comes" indcates new second phase in my fathers Kingdom after all that is bad is removed.) He himself will be there and with us. There will be no need for a Temple, Sun or Moon in that City for God and the lamb will be the light of the city.)
27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.(Died) 31 But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. 32 When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
Now what is (without recognizing the body of the Lord ) > Would it not be each other?
33 So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other. 34 If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment. (Note hungry indicates it not a big Supper, but a remembrance of his death tell he comes. And when I come I will give further directions. ( Wonder what they were?1 Corinthians 10:17
17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. (Now are you going to share that bread?) Will it it remain one loaf of bread? The Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. When the so called church don't let their people share this bread they are quenching the Spirit in one another. When you have a program in advance when the Spirit moves on the people they must sat there tell you are finished with last weeks program when god is finished with it. Pastors and Elders talk till they are blue in the face and never realize there or other parts in the body of like (people)., Let them speak two or three, the spirits of the prophets or subject to one another. Show me a church like that!! They are bread also that we need to grow to perfection.Who is the man that has the word of wisdom let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churchs!! Is there liberty in your gatherings or does someone else have full control. How about being lead of the spirit what does that mean? I'am afraid God is going to judge us for desiring special favors from the goverments of the world. We or in the world but not of the world. Beware of the bread of the pharaise.
One cup
Matthew 26:26-28 (New International Version)
26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."
27 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (A good picture would be it became twelve cups, it divided or enlarged its self.) then 3000 then to all that are called. See Luke 14:17
Divide it among you.
17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." ( As soon as he rose from the dead the new covenant was in force.) "Question do you think he drinks it with us when we have our little commune. Or will he wait tell he comes again. Is it a rememberance thing now? But will he literaly show up and drink it with us? "Yes" and now he is with us in the Spirit Only for we know him no longer after the flesh but the Spirit. Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." ( In other words break what I have given to you and freely give to others.) Note> When your group shuts out others from this breaking of bread "you have closed doors." So your bread it is like the bread of the Pharisees.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers for some have entertained angels unaware.
Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. (The angels don't have this bread that we have).20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. (When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat, but your own. Let us be careful that we know what the body of Christ is. It is People!!. So let them break the bread Jesus gave them. It is more than eating a piece Of bread and drinking juice from a plastic cup. His words were Spirit and they were life.
Here is the Key to the communion of the body of Christ (I Cor. 10:16)
I Cor. 10:16 The cup of blessing, (figurative,) The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? (Paul meant the teaching of the Gospel.)
In the NT. it is used most frequently of the sufferings of Christ, Matt. 20:22, 23; 26:39; Mark 10:38, 39; 14:36; Luke 22:42; John 18:11; also of the evil deeds of Babylon, Rev. 14:10
Luke 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
"This cup is the new testament in my blood" (1 Corinthians 11:25). Since there is only one New Testament, it is necessary to infer that there should be only one cup, which represents it. If they did not observe the supper there, then where? In their homes (Acts 2:46). Divide it" 3000 first day of Pentecost Answer: It is debatable whether the cup of Luke 22:17 has anything to do with the Lord's supper. Many commentaries say that it pertains to the Passover instead of the supper. Even if it refers to the Lord's supper, the contents of the cup can be divided by all drinking from the cup. "Divide" is the only word in Luke's account that can correspond to the word "drink" in Matthew and Mark's accounts. Therefore, we must conclude that "divide" means "drink" in Luke's account. 3000 drink the first day it was poured out, after the many drink and ate his body, Jesus said unless you eat my body and drink my blood you have no part with me. For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. They therefore, when they were come together, asked him, saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within His own power.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The mystery, "hid in God", was the divine purpose to make of Jew and Gentile a wholly new thing -"the church, which is his Christ's body," Born of the Holy Spirit, (1Co_12:12); (1Co_12:13), and in which the earthly distinction of Jew and Gentile disappears.

Luk 10:20 Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. This was before Pentecost.
Disciples had salvation before they were Baptized with the Holy Ghost at Pentecost.

The Promise of the Father was coming for a (particular Purpose).
Give Power for the witnessing
Luke 24:46-49, Jesus said to them that (repentance and remission of sins) should be preached in my name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem .And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from high. .
Day of Pentecost
They are to preach the Gospel but wait for an (enduement) of power from on High (clothe). Not a word was said about the languages because everybody who preaches must preach in some language, but what language it is is not important as long as they understand. So the Lord didn't say anything about what language; but the great important thing is they are to preach the Gospel and they must have an enduement of power from on High.
What Was the Meaning of (This Pentecost)? Power to Win Souls!
Church was born,, Gospel preached to 16 nations, miracles of tongues ,Oneness
Acts 2:41 They that received his word were baptized: and there were added that day about 3,000 souls .We need to be burdened about what God is burdened about.
Acts 1:8 the Lord told them, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." What then they to expect at Pentecost? The Holy Ghost is to come on them and they are to receive power to (witness for Jesus) at Jerusalem and then in all Judea and in Samaria and to the uttermost part of the world. It is a time when the power of God coming to win souls.
The Holy Ghost came with power for the Disciples to be a witnesses for Jesus.
